Self Portrait
This introduction project was based of creating a painting of ourselves on Photoshop. This introduction project was challenging but great to start us of with, as it gave us some new skills but also got us back into the groove of creating detail and using shades to create realistic features.
Creating a painting of myself was pretty hard but it gave me helped me discover different methods of how i can create it easier.
I added a grid on the image I was painting from and the paper I was painting on, this helped a lot so i could get the features and the head shape right. I also used an option called "Tile all vertically" this option allowed me to view both images right next to each other and made it easier to look at both at the same time. I also learnt some more shortcuts which allowed me to complete certain stages of the painting quicker, allowing me to finish on time.
This is the link to the video of my speed painting which i created in adobe premiere and sped it up so it wasn't 4hours long, i reduced it to 4minutes long.

Overall this introduction project was fun and consisted of us putting our minds back in focus for whats to come. The hardest thing I found to create was a similar skin tone to the one from the picture and the lighting also made a big difference in how I had to shade the colors to create dark and bright parts.
